Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Overview
SmartStackAI is a private creator automation system used to create, publish, and evaluate short-form technology videos. This policy explains how SmartStackAI accesses, uses, stores, and protects Google and YouTube data.
2. Google and YouTube data accessed
When the developer authorizes SmartStackAI with Google OAuth, the application may request the following permissions:
- YouTube upload: to upload videos to the connected YouTube account.
- YouTube read-only: to read video and channel information and basic public/account statistics required by the automation.
- YouTube Analytics read-only: to read performance metrics for videos on the connected channel, including views, watch time, average view duration, average view percentage, likes, comments, and subscribers gained where available.
3. How the data is used
YouTube data is used only for the connected creator workflow. SmartStackAI uses the data to:
- publish generated videos to the authorized YouTube account;
- measure the performance of recently published videos;
- compare topics and content formats using performance scores; and
- adjust future topic selection while retaining a portion of exploratory content.
Google user data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to build unrelated user profiles.
4. Data stored by SmartStackAI
SmartStackAI may store video IDs, titles, topic metadata, publishing timestamps, and summarized performance metrics in a private GitHub repository controlled by the developer. These records are used as strategy memory for the automation.
OAuth client secrets and refresh tokens are not intentionally placed in the public website or public source files. Production credentials are intended to be stored separately as protected repository secrets.
5. Data sharing
SmartStackAI does not sell Google user data. It does not intentionally share YouTube Analytics data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data may be processed by service providers strictly as necessary to operate the workflow, such as GitHub Actions and Google APIs.
6. Data retention and deletion
Performance records may be retained while they remain useful to the creator's content strategy. The developer can remove stored strategy and performance records from the private repository at any time.
Google account access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account permissions page. After access is revoked, SmartStackAI can no longer make new authenticated requests with that authorization.
7. Security
SmartStackAI is designed to keep operational credentials separate from public website files. Access to the private automation repository and its secrets is restricted to authorized repository access.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
SmartStackAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Contact
For privacy or data-access questions, contact the developer using the support email displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen for SmartStackAI.
